NMC Released List Of Medical Seats 2025

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the list of Medical seats 2024-25 in both Undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG). These provisional seat counts include broad and super specialty program. However This data, updated to March 31, 2025 and this data is available on the official website of NMC.

In addition NMC has asked the Medical colleges and institutions to verify the number listed against the names of colleges and report any discrepancies within 15 days. However the colleges are required to submit documents to the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) at ds-marb@nmcindia.gov.in and ug-marb@nmcindia.gov.in.

NMC has warned colleges that, if they fail to report discrepancies, might affect the updating of student details on its Admission portal.

What is NMC in medical college?

The National Medical Commission (NMC), a Sanctioned body that regulates medical education, research, and Medical professional in Medicine by replacing the Medical Council of India.

NMC is responsible for setting policies, regulating medical institutions, medical research, professions. Further it is responsible for granting recognition of medical qualifications, accrediting medicine in India.

What is the meaning of NMC approved medical colleges?

NMC approved medical colleges means the medical colleges are accredited and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).  Further NMC is the regulatory body for medical institutions and medical professionals in India. NMC is responsible for setting up standards for quality education, and eligibility to practice medicine in India.

Who is eligible for MBBS in NMC?

To be eligible for admission to an MBBS course regulated by the National Medical Commission , the applicants should be at least 17 years old as of December 31st of the year of admission. They should have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, and should also pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG).

What is the passing criteria for MBBS in NMC?

It has also asked medical colleges to verify the number of seats in their college. If the number of seats missed in the list increases or decreases, those colleges need to submit their documents within 15 days to the NMC regulatory body.
