When medical education becomes a commodity that is sold and bought, often students conditioned to commercialize their knowledge and skills during their medical practice, resulting in urbanization and commercialization of healthcare and medical brain drain. The upcoming Medical College shall provide value based medical education completely free of cost, inspiring youth to serve the society and contribute towards Universal Health, with love and compassion as the guiding tenets.

Guided by the norms of the National Medical Commission (NMC), the apex steering body for medical education in India, the Medical College shall comprise of one academic block and two teaching hospitals, which shall provide quality medical care to All, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, and financial status, all Totally Free of Cost.

Currently, one academic block – Sri Sathya Sai Rajeswari Memorial Block, and one teaching hospital – Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital have begun functioning round the clock as the first phase of the medical education mission of Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. Soon a 400-bedded teaching hospital will erected within the campus limits.

Hostel

Stay in the University Hostel is mandatory for all the students as part of Gurukula (Residential) Education

  • No student should stay away from his or her room during the night times without the prior permission of the Warden
  • Any student who wishes to leave the campus temporarily or otherwise, must obtain permission from the Warden
  • Students are not permitted to allow their rooms to used by others
  • Visitors and non-residents, including parents, permitted to enter only up to the hostel visitor’s lounge. They must leave the hostel premises after the specified visiting hours
  • Pets of any kind are not permitted inside the hostel
  • Students advised not to keep cash or valuables with them in the room. If in possession, they must deposited to the Warden. The student will be responsible for the safety of his/her belongings inside the room
  • Cooking is not permitted in the hostel rooms
  • Silence must be maintained during ‘Study Hours’, which meant only for study activity. Study hours will observed on all days

Sports

There is a 10-acre Sports facility which includes Volleyball, Basketball courts and an arena for both indoor and outdoor sports and games.

Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital

Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital is a multi-disciplinary hospital established at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, in the district of Chikkaballapur, Karnataka in South India. The main objective of the Hospital is to make quality healthcare accessible for all, without any barriers, absolutely free of cost. The Hospital got its name from the memory of late Mrs Sarla Indulal Shah, an ardent devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who dedicated her life to the service and upliftment of women and children.

400-Bedded Multi-Speciality Hospital

On 01 April 2022, Honourable Union Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for a completely free of cost new 400-bedded multi-speciality hospital adjoining Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli in the presence of Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. Understanding the growing needs for healthcare that can cater to the poorest of the poor, without charging a penny, the Sri Sathya Sai Sarla Memorial Hospital is all set to expand to this 400-bedded multi-speciality facility, which is the first step towards establishing India’s first free Medical College, to offer completely free of cost medical education to the rural poor.
