Rampurhat is a rapidly growing township in Birbhum District in the Indian state of West Bengal. As of Census 2011 Rampurhat has a total population of 57000 of which 29070 are male and 27930 are female. It has got rich heritage. The local tribal people, mostly belonging to the Santhali groups, and Boul community striving to maintain their culture.
The decision to establish a Medical College here by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal is a boon for the people of the Rangamati region.

Central Library

The Central Library at Rampurhat Government Medical College is as recent as the institute. Yet, within a short span since its inception, it has been adequately equipped with infrastructure and logistics. It provides year-round reference and information services and assists students and faculties in their learning process. Staff members at the learning centre assist students in identifying new and additional resources. The mission of the Central Library is to provide resources and instructional material in support of the evolving curriculum. We focus on acquiring and providing access to the state-of-the-art information technology to meet the current and changing information needs of the medical fraternity.

In keeping with the motto of life-long learning as introduced in the new CBME curriculum, the library is well-equipped to aid the students in achieving their desired competencies and to amply aid them in their self-directed learning process.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Rampurhat Government Medical College & Hospital, Rampurhat

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)

Admission Process
