About Muzaffarnagar Medical College

Muzaffarnagar Medical College is promoted by Fateh Chand Charitable Trust. Trustees are among prominent Academicians, Politicians and Businessmen. Trust is taking initiative for the benefit of the society with the objective to provide and promote education in the field of Medical Education & Health Care Services.

Muzaffarnagar Medical College is offering course in Medical Science i.e., MBBS from its campus developed in 25 acres of land at Muzaffarnagar. The college has an additional 17 acres campus. The whole campus is aesthetically developed in a pollution free and peaceful environment suitable for a healthy and academic atmosphere. Located opp. Begrajpur Industrial Area at 115 km mile stone on Delhi – Dehradun National Highway-58, and it is 8 kms away from Muzaffarnagar.

The Medical College is well connected with road and railway. Public transport facility is easily available as the Delhi to Haridwar/Dehradun buses pass through the highway, besides private buses are also available for nearby towns and villages round the clock with van official bus stop in front of the campus main gate. The college has an Administrative Block, which houses Department of Anatomy.

There is a separate Para Clinical Block consisting of Department of Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Pathology and Community Medicine. The Laboratories in all these departments are fully furnished as per the requirements of Medical Council of India. The Clinical Departments are in the hospital building so that the clinicians can remain available to their patients.

All Lecture Theatres are Air- Conditioned. College has a Council room and a Medical Education Unit to fulfil the needs of all the departments. There are separate common rooms for boys and girls with adjacent cafeteria. The Clinical departments comprises of all specialties besides Cardiology, Nephrology, Urology and Radio diagnosis (CT, MRI, Mammography & DSA).

It is a matter of great satisfaction that in such a short time of its existence the institution has been able to create facilities for Renal Dialysis and operations like Laminectomy, Spinal Surgeries, Joint Replacement besides all other routine operations in various departments including Laparoscopic Surgeries with latest available equipment’s.

Lecture Halls

Lecture Theatre – Five, with all audio-visual facilities.4-(240), 1-(350) under construction. Four lecture halls are with a seating capacity of 240 each and with 350 seating capacity. All are provided with projection facility. Examination Hall 250 Seats, Auditorium 750 Seats. Lecture theatres are also used for guest lectures, clinical meetings, debates and quiz contests, conferences/seminars/ workshops and cultural activities.

Audio amplifying system including audio mixers and speakers with cord and cordless mikes (collar & hand mikes Audio recording and playing facilities. Projection facilities including motorized screens, overhead projectors, LCD projectors, DVD player and laptops for Power Point presentations.

Library

The Muzaffarnagar Medical College has a Central Library with centralized A.C. It supports the teaching and research programs of the college. HOSTEL BOYS & GIRLS

MMC&H has well-furnished air-conditioned hostel accommodation to accommodate 750 students separately for boys and girls. Staying in the hostel is compulsory for all students. Hostel rooms are well built and spacious and are available on a twin – sharing basis. Each room is provided with two beds, two wardrobes, two study tables and a chair for each student. Water purifiers and water coolers are provided for potable water.

Animal House

The Central Animal House is located in the Campus. It is registered with committee for the purpose of Control and supervision of experiments on Animals (CPCCSEA) for Education and Research Purposes on small animals with a registration number 1008/PO/ERe/S/06/CPCSEA. It is a well-equipped animal house with separate rooms for each species of small animals like Rats, Mice and Rabbits. Besides these there is a Quarantine rooms.

Experimental Room, O. T Room washing area, Store Room, Changing Room and Staff office. For newly purchased animals sic anima other facility include washroom for cleaning of cages &racks, procedure room for carrying out small procedures on animals Research work is done in Research Laboratory located in Pharmacology department.

The Animal House is surrounded by lush green lawn and plants with separate boundary. The meeting of the Central Animal House is conducted from time to time. There is a animal house committee which maintain the animal house & superiors the animal experiments under guidelines of CPCSEA.

The Hospital is located Opp. Begrajpur Industrial area at 115 Km mile stone on Delhi – Dehradun National Highway and it is 8 Km away from Muzaffarnagar city. The Hospital is having 1050 teaching beds and 107 non-teaching beds. It is located in a multistorey unitary building which is well lighted and ventilated. The Hospital is having state of art ICU and SICU, well equipped with the multimode monitors, ventilators and defibrillators. Facility for Cancer Screening, Colonoscopy, Family Planning and Endocrinological work are available in the hospital. IVF facility is also available.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Muzaffarnagar Medical College

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)
