A Constituent College of Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Kumarhatti-Solan (H.P) ideally located on Chandigarh-Shimla National Highway in the Devbhoomi of Himachal Pradesh at Kumarhatti-Solan, the MM Medical College & Hospital established in 2013 as a constituent Institute of Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan, under the aegis of the MM University Trust founded by a distinguished public figure Shri Tarsem Kumar Garg in November 1993.

The College supported by 720- bedded Super-Speciality Hospital is well equipped with state-of—the-art infrastructure and latest ultra-modern equipment’s and happens to be the first self-financing Medical College in the State and has 150 seats which is the maximum number of seats of MBBS course in any Medical College in the State. With highly qualified faculty of competent and long experienced doctors, the College is likely to prove a landmark in the growth and development of the State in general and rendering excellent medical care services and health science education in the State in particular.

MBBS course recognized by Medical Council of India and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in 2018.The Medical Council of India/Govt. of India sanctioned PG courses of MD/MS to this college in twenty clinical and non-clinical specialties and has also introduced the M.Sc. (Medical) courses in Anatomy, Pharmacology, Physiology, Bio-chemistry, Microbiology. The Medical College is also offering various Diploma and Degree (UG) paramedical courses.

Lecture Theatre

4 lecture theatres of capacity 180 each and 1 lecture theatre of capacity 350 are available equipped with AC, Central heating system, Audio-visual facility, LCD projector, wi-fi, OHP, CCTV Cameras, Computer Network with LAN

Central Library

Our Library is a hybrid library with the state-of-the-art technological applications. The Institute Library established in 2012 with an aim to facilitate learning, teaching, research, training and consultancy activities at the Institute. Library building, centrally heated, has a sprawling space of 2,406 sqm, having designated areas for different sections of the library, which stimulate a nice ambiance for reading. The library holds knowledge resources predominantly related to medical and allied subjects.

Keeping in view the fast changes in technology, the knowledge base of the library is updated regularly by way of adding new literature in the form of text books, reference books, reports, proceedings, abstracts & indexes, encyclopaedias, data books, standards (National & International), Journals & database. The library building is centrally air-conditioned and equipped with computers and other communication networks. Library houses more than 12713 volumes and has a seating accommodation of 400 readers. Besides the two main reading halls there are two sections for Students and Staff, and an outer reading hall for studying the personal book.

Our institute offers comprehensive hostel facilities within the campus. We understand that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe hostels within the campus, providing a homely atmosphere. Our institute offers separate magnificent hostels for boys and girls with hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management. Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)

Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
