About JJM Medical College, Davangere

Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College (JJMMC), Davangere is one of the premier institutes established by Bapuji Educational Association in the year 1965 with consensus and permission of Government of Karnataka, Medical Council of India and Central Government. This institution was established with a desire to develop skilled healthcare personnel to cater to the healthcare needs of the local population. The vision and constant efforts of our Hon. Secretary Sri. Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappaji, has taken the institution to its zenith and has made Davangere a hub of education.

The main campus accommodates the Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, Administrative block and Bapuji Hospital. In addition, District CG Hospital, SS General Hospital, KR Road, Women and Child Hospital, Mandipet, STJ Rural Hospital, Channagiri and Community Health centre, Kukkavada are attached to JJM Medical College for teaching and training of students for clinical exposure. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka and the Degrees awarded are recognized by Medical Council of India.

At JJM Medical College we believe that reading is at the heart of all learning. Whilst all pupils are encouraged to read their reading book every night, reading for pleasure is an essential and lifelong skill. The library forms a huge part of this and we are very fortunate at JJM Medical College to have a dedicated library which is Asia’s largest library used by all of our students and staffs.

Sports And Cultural Activities

Our college is having good competitive teams in almost all sports and games conducted by R G U H S, namely Football, Volley ball, Throwball, Chess, Cricket, Netball, Basketball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shuttle Badminton and more.

We have individual Champions also in Cross Country, Athletics, Aquatics (Swimming), Tennis, Body Building, Weight lifting, Power lifting and many other.

Regularly our college is conducting, Zonal, Inter zonal, Single zone, State level events of RGUHS. Coaching camps for RGUHS University teams are also conducted by our college regularly.

Bapuji Hospital

Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College is attached with four hospitals Bapuji Hospital, Bapuji Child Health Institute and Research Centre, Chigateri General Hospital, and Women & Children Hospital. Chigateri District Hospital in Davangere is a recognized name in inpatient care. They are one of the well-known Hospitals in Karnataka. Bapuji hospital has 720 beds and Chigateri district hospital has 690. Which has the vision to offer the best in patient care and equipped with technologically advanced healthcare facilities, they are one of the upcoming names in the healthcare industry.

Eligibility & Admission Process for JJM Medical College, Davangere

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)
