The COVID-19 pandemic, which emerged in December 2019, brought unprecedented challenges to education worldwide, and the Kulliyyah of Medicine was no exception. Yet, we persevered. Throughout the pandemic, we continued our academic activities—whether remotely or through limited in-person clinical sessions. Our postgraduate clinical students have served as frontline medical professionals across the country, while our experts have contributed to the understanding of COVID-19 and its effects on the community and government. Despite the challenges, during this period, 2,044 students graduated with MBBS degrees and 308 completed various postgraduate programs.

As COVID-19 remains a part of our reality, the Kulliyyah of Medicine continues to adopt proactive strategies to meet the evolving educational landscape. The University has also developed the Sejahtera Academic Framework, which will guide us as we move forward into the future.

The Kulliyyah of Medicine remains committed to working with local and international partners, including the Ministry of Health Malaysia, Gulf Medical University in Ajman, UAE, and Chattagram International Medical College & Hospital in Bangladesh.
