Indira Gandhi Government Medical College & Hospital (IGGMCH) established in the year 1905 is located on Central Avenue, near the city railway station in Nagpur, run by the Government of Maharashtra. Mission & Vision

Medical Education is the mother of Health care services existing the state. The doctors are created from the new entrants in the college. The processed ‘good’ should be a high quality, sincere, dedicated and compassionate fellows. There is total 16 OPD chambers belonging to various specialties (orthopaedics, skin & vd, E.N.T., Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Surgery, Immunisation, Medicine/Gynae, Psychiatry, Radiology) seen by experts to serve the patient. Apart from these, special OPDs are run such as epilepsy on Monday, hypertensive on Tuesday, Cardiac and sickle cell disease on Wednesday, diabetes on Thursday, geriatric medicine on Friday. Patients need to enrol themselves at registration counter before going go their respective OPDs.
In-patient department of various specialities caters to the need of patients requiring admission and inpatient management in hospital premises in respective wards.

There is well equipped casualty in premises of Indira Gandhi Govt. Medical College and hospital to deal with emergency situations. Total available space for casualty is 750 sq. ft. and total no of beds available in casualty are 20 beds. Various equipment’s available in casualty are resuscitation kits, ECG machine, Defibrillator, Ventilator and other various surgical instruments that are needed to manage emergency situation.
