Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Medical College established in 2014 with vision of providing health education in undergraduate and postgraduate medical student, at present with a capacity of 125 students per year for MBBS Course. Our 535 bedded hospital is providing healthcare facility of tertiary care at affordable cost.

Facilities / Infrastructure in Government Medical College, Rajnandgaon

Classroom
The college has allotted with 125 seats for MBBS Two well-furnished spacious classrooms have allotted to them where the students sit in two sections. We have so many class rooms with enough air ventilation and all the necessary facilities like Board with green glass, chair, table, wooden student bench, LED tube light, fan, slogan boards, etc.

Laboratory
Well Equipped Laboratory available in department of Pathology, Biochemistry & Microbiology.

Skill Development Lab
Department of Physiology has developed Linguistic Skill Development Lab for the linguistic skills in English and Vernacular Language too.

Department understands that college situated in backward but fast developing state Chhattisgarh. Here students come from remote area who have talent but because of language problem the talent of these students remain unexplored.

Central Library
The library at the ABVMMC provides a good number of latest books and journal for reference for the students. The students refer the books and enlighten themselves with the knowledge, provided by the books and reference material.

Every student is definitely made to visit the library section for the purpose of proper learning of the subject. College Library is one of the best libraries in CG State and having sufficient number of text books in all subject books reference books, national and foreign journals in each subject, online journals, Internet Access Wi-Fi, and many more.
Seminar Hall
The seminar hall, a subsection of the library, equipped with the latest teaching aids, for the purpose of the staff & students’ workshop and seminar, required for the upgradation of the knowledge of the staff. Also Available on Examination Hall- Capacity 150.

Hostel (Girls & Boys)
The Govt. Medical College provides “on-campus” separate hostel facility for Boys and Girls. These hostels are aesthetically designed, complete with Mess and Recreational facilities.

Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Medical College 535 bedded hospital is providing healthcare facility of tertiary care at affordable cost.

OT Complex:
10 OTs are functional and distributed department wise. It includes one emergency OT with 3 Tables (one for septic cases).
OPD:
OPDs conducted in a separate building in one shift unit wise daily from 09.00 am to 02.00 pm. excluding Sunday & Holidays. Consultation chambers are available as per MCI norms.

Emergency Services:
24 hrs Emergency Service available 24 x 7 with special attention to critical and high-risk patients. Doctor consultancy are available as per MCI norms.
MRD:
It run by hospital staffs. It is partly computerized. All Hospital data & statistics are stored department wise. Medico legal cases are dealt separately.
Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation

This department is functional with three qualified staffs and attached to OPD complex.
Mortuary: On an average 4-6 autopsies are carried out every day in the mortuary. Students are taken to mortuary for demonstrations. Two deep freezers 4 and 6 body capacity respectively, ice box and other essential equipment’s are available in the mortuary. Doctor’s room, Viscera room and waiting hall are also made.
Pharmacy:
The Medical Stores and Hospital Equipment’s stores are run as per MCI norms, Medicine are distributed free of cost to all patients.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Government Medical College, Rajnandgaon

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)

Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
