About Government Medical College, Kota
Government Medical College, Kota is situated at Rangbari Road, about 14 kilometres away from Kota junction railway station and about 10 kilometres away from Rajasthan Road ways bus stand. Before March 1992, Except Kota division, every division of Rajasthan was having a Medical College.
The long-awaited need of Medical College in Kota division was fulfilled by the state government by making decision for that purpose on 10.02.1992. The Govt. Medical College Kota came in the existence in March 1992 and Dr. RL Ajmera, Professor Physiology joined on 7th March 1992 as the first principal.
The first batch of 50 students was admitted in 1992-93 session and regular classes of this batch were started in ESI Hospital building at Jhalawar road Kota. This Medical College recognized by MCI since December 1998.
After completion of the construction of its own building the Medical College shifted to the new campus with ample space at Rang Bari Road in the year 1997. This campus comprises of college building, administrative block, Central Library, auditorium, indoor courts and gymnasium-Library, E-Classrooms, Multi-Disciplinary Research Unit, boys’ and girls’ UG & PG hostels, guest house, faculty and staff accommodation, New Medical College Hospital and an independent branch of SBBJ (Now SBI).

Maharao Bhim Singh Hospital Kota
Situated in Nayapura at about ten kilometres distance from the Medical College, this is the main hospital attached to the Medical College with the strength of 750 beds. This is one of the very old hospitals in Rajasthan. Earlier it was the district hospital of Kota under the control of Director Medical and health Services, Rajasthan. Now it is the main hospital attached to Medical College.
This hospital spread over the large campus and along with the hospital building other facilities situated in the campus are well equipped Central laboratory, Well Stable Digitalized Medical Record Room, Blood bank, Mechanical Laundry, Mortuary, CT scan, Post Martum facility, Lecture theatre’s complex, Nursing college, Nursing school, PG student’s hostel, nursing student’s hostel and residential accommodation for staff and faculty members etc. Chambers of Administrative officer like Principal of Govt Medical College, Kota, Superintendent and Dy. J.K. Lon Hospital situated in the campus of MBS Hospital & has a separate administration control headed by Medical Superintendent. The hospital came in to existence & started working on 2nd October, 1973 after a foundation stone laid down by Mohan LalSukhadiaji in 1971. The hospital building donated by J.K. Group of Industries, Kota which showed a great interest & concern towards mother & child health care.
The hospital was later on extended & new wards, operation theatres & intensive care units started as per the needs of the patients. Initially the hospital started as a district hospital till 1992 when it came under Government Medical College, Kota. Presently Gynae&Pediatrics Medicine Departments are catering their services in this hospital.
New Medical College Hospital, Rang Bari Road, Kota. (NHMC)
This Hospital associated with the Govt. Medical College, Kota and situated in the same premises. The hospital came in functioning since 16thSeptember 2008. The hospital initially started with four departments Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & gynaecology and Paediatrics.
In March 2011 three departments TB & Chest, Skin and Psychiatry started. Further in 2014 Cardiology department and in 2017 Cath lab started which includes Angiography, Angioplasty and Pacemaker procedure. With the increase in patients, other departments, operation theatre and intensive care units started.

Urban Health Training Centre, Kota
The centre is running under department of Community Medicine, Govt. Medical College, Kota. The center situated in Mahaveer Nagar 3rd about 2 kms from college. The centre meant for training of interns, nursing & ANM students of the college and for providing field work experience to undergraduate students of college in its catering area. CHC sultanpur is 30 bedded hospitals and which RHSDP constructed it in the year 2006-07. There is three MO residence and three paramedical residence and one fourth class residence. already constructed with 100% occupancy and another three MO residence in under construction in full swing. One operation theatre available in chc where sterilization camp conduct. Regularly 24-hour emergency facilities available in chc and medical officer & nursing staff are round the clock on duty.
this chc is 24-hour free delivery point. there un interrupted and 24-hour water and electricity (back-up) supply available drinking water R.O. available for patient dental chair present. Daily free immulization for children present. X-ray facilities and ECG facilities both available. Other than labour room there is one emergency ward and one NBSU unit available & one male and one female ward present and one Jsy ward present, there is separate well-arranged medicine store room.

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
