Government Medical College Jagdalpur India now known as Late Baliram Kashyap Memorial Government Medical College, Dimrapal, Jagdalpur India This was effort made to introduce excellence in health care facilities to tribal people in district Bastar.

The College associated with 500 Bedded Hospital of Late. Baliram Kashyap Memorial Govt. Medical College Hospital, Jagdalpur. Hospital Building Existence in the College Campus. Hospital Building Inaugurated by Hon’ble President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind Ji on July 26, 2018. Our Medical College established in year 2006 and Government Medical College Jagdalpur was a dream project of our honourable Chief Minister who also seized the gracious opportunity of inaugurating our institution on 28th august 2006. National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has provided remarkable contribution towards development of our Medical College and Hospital.

Our Institution proved to be a milestone in endowment of basic and advanced health care facility in Bastar as it happens to be the only terminal health care centre in the radius of 300 kilometres. We bound to provide basic as well as advanced health care with sincerity and excellence and establish our institution as a expendable terminal health care centre.

Government Medical College Jagdalpur affiliated with Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University since the year of its inception. Government Medical College Jagdalpur renamed as Late Baliram Kashyap Memorial Government Medical College in year 2013 after our honourable leader Late Baliram Kashyap. At present the college affiliated with Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University Raipur. Our Pioneer batch was Batch 2006 with 50 MBBS students and all the students of this batch and forthcoming batches have gained knowledge and experience from our institution.

In year 2013 we got permission for 100 MBBS students. We are proud to have given good doctors to our society. Our students achieve remarkable success in university professional examination as well as post graduate entrance examination. Our students define our success as a good medical intuition in their behaviour as dependable doctors. We aim to grow as one of the leading medical institutions in India.

Facilities / Infrastructure in Government Medical College, Jagdalpur

Lecture Halls

The college has been allotted with 100 seats for MBBS Two well-furnished spacious classrooms have been allotted to them where the students sit in two sections. We have so many class rooms with enough air ventilation and all the necessary facilities like Board with green glass, chair, table, wooden student bench, LED tube light, fan, slogan boards, etc. 3 Lecture Theater available in college building & 01 Lecture Theatre available in hospital building.

Central Library

College Library is one of the best libraries in Country and having sufficient number of text books in all subject books reference books, national and foreign journals in each subject, online journals, Internet Access Wi-Fi, and many more. It has more than 18679 book and 70 Indian & 30 foreign journals available as on date. Separate sitting arrangement for students (100 + 100) and faculty members are available. There are 285 different books available in the Community Medicine Departmental Library.

Auditorium

The GMC Jagdalpur has a large Auditorium Hall with facilities of LCD projector which is used for conference, workshop, examination & recreation purpose.

Hostel

The Govt. Medical College provides “on-campus” separate hostel facility for Boys and Girls. These hostels are aesthetically designed, complete with Mess and Recreational facilities.
Hostel facilities are available in the college campus:
1. The Institute runs a hostel each for the boys’ and girls’ students.
2. Two hostels including PG Hostels are available & functional in the campus.
3. The hostel buildings with spacious rooms, lounges, recreation room having tv sets in each of the hostels.
4. The girl’s hostel, with a view to ensure absolute safety of the inmates, is fenced properly & secured.
5. The student representatives run the mess in the men’s’ and women’s’ hostel under the supervision and guidance of the warden.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Government Medical College, Jagdalpur

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)
