About Government Medical College, Azamgarh

The Government Medical College & Super Facility Hospital is a leading & phenomenal hospital established by State Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2006. The college is affiliated with King George Medical University, Lucknow and having good infrastructure with super facilities as CT scan, USG, Hormonal essay etc. It is situated in Chakrapanpur, Azamgarh which is famous for birth place of great writer Pandit Rahul Sankrityayan.

The Campus is around 20 km away from Azamgarh district & well connected with Railway station & Bus station through Bus, Auto & Taxies.

In 2006, OPDs were started which gradually shifted to 140 Bedded IPD & Presently GMC & SFH is running with 550 Beds IPDs, well created emergency & Private wards. The Hospital has well trained Health Care workers including Clinicians, Nursing Staff & Paramedical Staff. The Academic activities started in August 2013 with our first Batch of MBBS students.

GMC & SFH is spread in 105-acre area which includes Administrative Block, Academic Block, Central Library, Examination Hall, Auditorium, Lecture Theatre & Various Departments of Medical Education. It also consists of different Residents as faculty and staff flats, S.R. Hostel, J.R. Hostel, Boy’s hostel, Girl’s hostel, Intern Girls and Boys hostel, Nursing Hostel & Guest house.

Central library of gmc Azamgarh is located just beside the academic block. It is full-fledged with reading hall, computer room, research section room, librarian & staff room. THE AUDITORIUM at gmc & sfh Azamgarh IS HAVING good architect with hexagonal shape and accommodating 750 SEATS IN Central viewers gallery type hall. The hall is attached with spacious corridor and one Lecture Theatre which consists of 250 chairs. There are two refreshment room, rehearsal room with back stage green room. the auditorium Is equipped with jbl digital sound system.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Government Medical College, Azamgarh

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)
