About Era Lucknow Medical College

Era Lucknow Medical College started under Era Educational Trust (EET) was started in 2001 by the approval of the Medical Council of India (MCI), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Government of India, and received recognition in 2006.

With an aim to remodel education from being a cluster of well-understood subjects to becoming well-adapted aspects and principles of life, the Era Educational Trust Conceptualized Era Lucknow Medical College and Hospital.

EET aspires to inculcate traits of honesty, compassion, courage, persistence and responsibility among students, so as to enable them to become competent doctors with good clinical knowledge as well as instil in them ethics and values by which they can treat their patients with a human touch.

Facilities / Infrastructure in Era Lucknow Medical College

Lecture Theatres

The Era Lucknow Medical College has 5 fully air-conditioned lecture theatres, 2 with seating capacity of 180 each and the other three with the seating capacity 200, 250 and 350.

A new lecture theatre block has been added to the existing infrastructure, which has 6 lecture theatres with a seating capacity of 300 each and 1 lecture theatre with a seating capacity of 600. All the lecture theatres are equipped with ultra-modern audio-visual teaching aids like LCD projectors, etc.

Central Library

Library is a social Institution charged with the most enviable function of dispensing knowledge to the ignorant and informed alike. It is one of the important media for mass communication which is essential not only for the continuance for the existing democratic institutions but also to encourage their growth and development in the future.

A library can rightly be called and index to the human development in the fields of humanities, social, physical for mass communication necessary for the development of human personality. The main function of a library is the collection and preservation of knowledge for its dissemination to all.

Cafeteria

State-of-the-art air-conditioned cafeterias with modern catering facilities are available for staff and students inside the college campus. No preservatives and colours are used in cooking

Boys Common Room

Separate common rooms are available in the college building for the boys and girl students. There they can share their good times during leisure. Commons are equipped with first aid and retiring facilities, with attached toilets.

Animal House

Institute have a well-established Animal House, registered as 1114/ac/07/CPCSEA and permitted for experiments on Animals as per letter no. 25/4/2007-AWD, government of India Ministry of Environment and Forest.

The animal house possesses complete facilities for breeding and maintenance of laboratory animals under standard husbandry conditions. It houses animal strains of different species including inbred strains of mice, rat, Guinea pig, rabbit and sheep.

The facility takes care of humane handling of animals and follows Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) for breeding and experiments.

Animals are housed and used for breeding of and experiments for Medical Research as per rules & Regulation of CPCSEA. Institute also have Animal House Committee and Animal Ethics Committee for regular monitoring of Animal House besides permanent Veterinary Officer as In charge of Animal House.

Gymnasium

ELMC has a well-equipped gym on campus and sports ground with courts for activities like volleyball, basketball, badminton, and football, to mention a few. Both hostels have amenities for indoor games like carom, chess, and table tennis.

The charming, spotlessly clean, round chalet-style lodging has two beds. With an on-suite bathroom and shower, a fan, and air conditioning, this campus-based rental guarantees peace, tranquillity, and complete privacy. Home cooked vegetarian meals are served.

Hostels in Era Lucknow Medical College

ELMC believes in imparting personalized attention to each student. Small groups are formed for practical’s, demonstrations and clinical postings. ELMC has installed Biometric Attendance system to insure regular attendance in all lectures.

Students have to just place their finger on the Biometric Machine to register their attendance in the class, if one fails to do the same SMS will be send to that particular student’s parent/guardian intimating the absence of their ward in the class of that particular subject.

We have harnessed technology to ensure seriousness and punctuality among students, and this has helped us maintain high academic standards.

Mess

A healthy intellect can only reside in a healthy body. All students are provided the best care possible. As much as feasible, the in-house farm’s organic vegetables are used in cooking, and the milk provided for daily consumption also comes from domesticated cows and buffaloes. In cookery, artificial colouring and preservatives are not used.

At our farm, there is a stringent policy against using conventional, non-organic pesticides, insecticides, or herbicides. Manure made from vermicompost is used in its place. Additionally, livestock fodder is raised without the use of pesticides.

Computer Lab

The college has two separate computer labs, each of which has 50 computers installed, where faculty and students can browse the internet and access online books and e-journals.

Skill Lab

Our state-of-the-art skill laboratory is equipped with different manikins. These manikins, also known as virtual patients, have similar weight distribution as that found in humans. Our lab has manikins for skills such as CPR, intramuscular injection, catheterisation, suture procedure etc. We organise hands-on training sessions for students throughout the year.

Demo rooms

Demo rooms are available in all pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical departments.

Auditorium

There is an auditorium with a 1200-person capacity and modern amenities. This place occasionally hosts co-curricular and recreational events.

Sport Facilities

• College holds Sports Meet every year since 2002 in the month of Jan/Feb. Which consists of athletics, Indoor & Outdoor games.
• College has a well-equipped Gymnasium in the Boy’s Hostel & Girl’s Hostel. Girl’s hostel has a Basketball Court.
• Our college Teams have also participated in Intermedial College Tournaments.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Era Lucknow Medical College

Eligibility MBBS

– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)

– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)

Admission Process

Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
