Medical Skill Lab

The University has well equipped Clinical Skill Laboratories with endo-trainers and manikins. This laboratory conducts various skill training activities for under-graduate, post-graduate students and interns. The Skill Lab equipped with basic and advanced low to medium fidelity equipment. The learners exposed to scheduled, planned skill-training sessions in these labs as part of their curriculum. Trained and experienced faculty conduct these sessions. In view of global emphasis on competency-based training and need for outcome-oriented educational strategies, the extensive use of the skill lab in this Institution contributes to national and global demands.

Animal House

The University has registered animal house under CPCSEA with registration No. 1800/PO/Ere/S/15/CPCSEA. Dt. 05.02.2015.  In February 2017, the registration was upgraded for “Research for Education purpose and Breeding for in house use of small animals” with new registration no. 1800/PO/ReBi/S/15/CPCSEA dt. 22.06.2017. As per CPCSEA guidelines, certified animal technician Currently, animal house functions are overseen and approved by IAEC supervision with Chairperson Dr. Mrs. Ashalata D. Patil and main Nominee Dr. John Intru Dsouza appointed by S. Gowri Shankar, Deputy Secretary (AW) & Member Secretary (CPCSEA). Every six monthly the meeting is convened where protocols   regarding research on small animals are scrutinized. Up till now 14 protocols have been sanctioned by the committee.

Classroom

Lecture theatre shall be provided with necessary independent audio-visual aids including overhead projector, slide projector, LCD projector and a microphone. These lecture theatres shall be shared by all the departments in a programmed manner. There shall be provision for E-class. Lecture halls must have facilities for conversion into E-class/Virtual class for teaching.

The well-equipped Radiology services include a 3 Tesla MRI, 64-slice CT scan, Doppler Ultrasound, 2D Echocardiography, DSA, Digital X-rays and Portable X-Ray machines. The Central laboratory services are of the highest standards. The hospital has four ambulances that are available 24×7 of which one is a designated Cardiac Ambulance and another one is fully equipped with ECG, Oxygen cylinder, Ambu Bag, Emergency drugs trolley, Monitor with Ventilator and Defibrillator which serves the needy patients at the most emergency situations.
