Buryat State University Institute of Medicine, Russia. Established in 1932 is one of the oldest and leading educational universities and scientific research centres of Siberia and Russian Fae East and is in the city of Ulan-Ude, Buryat Republic, Russia was founded in 1995, 30th September based on the Buryat Branch of Novosibirsk State University. It was originally named as Buryat State Teacher Training Institute after D. Banzarov in the year 1932.

Buryat State University is now a system-building educational establishment, training specialists for all kinds of organizations operating in the fields of education, science, management, economy, healthcare, social welfare, etc. One of BSU’s key principles is the implementation of the continuous training system academic, research and teaching staff: from secondary schools and colleges to university education, post-graduate studies and the doctorate.

The University now comprises 12 faculties. – of Biology and Geography, Physics and Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, Social Studies and Psychology, Physiology, History, Foreign Languages, Medicine, Economics and Management, Law, Oriental Studies; besides there are 3 institutes of – Mathematics and Computer Science, National-Humanitarian Institute, and Pedagogical Institute.
