About Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College, Pune

Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College Pune (BAVMC) is the first medical college of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) through a joint initiative of PMC and PMC-MET (Medical Education trust). BAVMC has granted the Letter of Permission (LOP) by National Medical Commission (NMC) of India vide letter number NMC/UG/2020/000032/012495 for intake capacity of 100 students.

It affiliated to Maharashtra University of Medical Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, vide letter number MUHS/PB/UG/P-1/First/504/2022. Kamla Nehru Hospital (KNH) is a 400-bedded multispecialty hospital and is affiliated to BAVMC which located at Mangal war Peth, Pune. It is one of the biggest hospitals run by PMC and has good clinical material available for training of the medical graduates.

Central Clinical Laboratory (CCL) consists of Pathology (Hematology, Clinical pathology, Cytology & Histopathology), Biochemistry and Microbiology which is well equipped and caters to the needs of patients. Our college also has Skill labs and functional Medical Education Unit (MEU) meant for faculty development programs. We also received Anatomy act permission and the body donation campaign is being run by Dept. of Anatomy, BAVMC. The college is located in the heart of Pune city.

Central Library

BAVMC library is located on second and third floor of college building with ample space for reading. Structured in accordance with NMC, it is well equipped with the latest medical textbooks and numerous national and international journals. It is well equipped with air-conditioned reading halls for the students and exclusive reading room for faculty for 24 hours. Along with this, there are computer rooms with high-speed internet connection, with a dedicated staff and resources in the library satisfies the needs of both faculty and students in terms of content and conducive environment for gaining knowledge

Hostel

There are separate hostels for boys and girls located at Sanas ground near Sarsbaug, Pune. There are CCTV cameras and Security persons 24*7 at the hostel. The rooms are spacious with attached washrooms and accommodate two persons in a room. Buses will be provided to students to commute from hostel to the college and vice-versa.

Eligibility & Admission Process for Bharatratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College, Pune
