Facilities / Infrastructure in Andhra Medical College

  • AMU have teaching beds of more than 1000 and the college is running since 1923
  • This medical college is a unitary campus of more than 25 acres
  • An air-conditioned Central Library, with 24 Hours reading room outside the central library for 200 students.
  • Staff room , librarian room, journal room, airconditioned computer room with Medlar and internet facility is available.
  • Six lecture hall of which five are having 250 capacity and one with 500 capacity. All lecture halls provided with Audio visual aids.

  • Apart from these Anatomy, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, departments have museums
  • All clinical departments have demonstration rooms in wards and OPDs
  • The teaching Hospital has more than 1000 beds with near 100% indoor bed occupancy
  • A central lecture theatre of gallery type with a seating capacity of 250 with audio visual aids in the hospital
  • There is provision of resident accommodation for interns, senior, junior residents and faculty.
  • There are well equipped Intensive Care Units(ICU), Intensive Coronary Care Units(ICCU), Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU),SICU, IRCU and Burns Unit.

The student has to submit the following original certificates along with  3 sets of xerox copies  at the time of joining in the course and the same are kept with this College.

  • SSC or equivalent examination containing the Date of Birth
  • Marks memo of qualifying examination i.e., Intermediate or Equivalent examination
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)

  • Permanent Caste certificate (integrated Community Certificate) Claiming reservation under BC/SC/ST Categories issued by an Officer prescribed, if applicable
