About All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bathinda
Prof. D. K. Singh has immense experience in hospital management and medical education. Before joining AIIMS Bathinda, he was working as the director of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi. His extra-ordinary work and dedication won him accolades for achieving many milestones for RIMS Ranchi.
As the Officer on Special Duty for India’s largest trauma centre, he established the 324 bedded trauma centres at BHU. He was the head of the department of Trauma and Emergency at AIIMS Bhopal. During his vast career as an anaesthesiologist, he has established high standards of patient care in critical care areas and started renal transplant program at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. He became professor of anaesthesiology in 2007, and became head of the department in 2009.
His resume abounds with academic laureates. As a guide, he has mentored more than 30 post-graduate students and has published many research papers in journals of national and international repute. He has also served as a member of the capacity development program for the establishment of seven new AIIMS. He has been a member of selection committee for various different institutes which include AIIMS. BHU, ICMR, RIMS, and many other medical colleges. He is a visitor nominee for Punjab University, member of empowered committee of UGC for University of Potential Excellence, Chairman of UGC Committee for recognition of medical universities and member of Governing Body of RINPAS, Ranchi.

Admission Process
Admission to the MBBS programme is based on candidates’ performance in NEET. Once the NEET results are declared, then the eligible candidates are called for counselling process.
