About AIIMS Rae Bareli
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS Rae Bareli) at Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh was approved in February, 2009 under Phase-II of Pradhan Mantri Sawasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) at an approved cost of Rs. 823 crores. The State Government had agreed to provide 148 acres of land. A Gazette Notification was issued on 13th August, 2013 for establishment of the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences at Rae Bareli. The Government of Uttar Pradesh transferred land measuring 97 acres out of already agreed 148 acres to the Central Government in July, 2013 for establishment of AIIMS Rae Bareli. The remaining 51 acres of land in under acquisition by the State Government and is expected to be provided in due course. The Ministry appointed M/s HSCC (India) Ltd as project management consultant for the project in July, 2013.
The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOH&FW) has nominated Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh as the mentor Institute for AIIMS, Raebareli. The Director, PGIMER has been given additional charge of Director, AIIMS, Raebareli.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raebareli was established as autonomous institution and institute of National importance through the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Act, passed in 2013.

Eligibility & Admission Process for AIIMS Rae Bareli
Eligibility MBBS
– Pass with minimum 50 % marks in Intermediate (Bi.P.C)
– Must Qualify in NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test)
