In January 2012, Ashiyan Medical College & Hospital was officially established, meeting all the guidelines and criteria set by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The government granted permission to admit 50 students for the first-year MBBS course starting in the 2012-2013 session. Additionally, the college is affiliated with the University of Dhaka.
