On July 19, 2005, the President of Uzbekistan founded the Tashkent Medical Academy. With a total enrollment capacity of 4662 students, the academy originally formed faculty including general medicine, pedagogy, and nursing. Approximately 765 postgraduates and 205 physicians are trained at the institute. The First Tashkent State Medical Institute offers the following advantages to its international guests. The institute has five dorms that can accommodate a total of 1700 students. The dorms at Tashkent Medical Academy are overseen by the Dormitory Directorate and TMA administration in accordance with academy policies.
