Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam founded in 1979 on the foundation of the Hai Phong Medical University branch campus. In order to rename Hai Phong Medical University as Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, under the direction of the Ministry of Health, the Prime Minister signed Resolution No. 2153/QD-TTg on November 11, 2013.

The university’s goals are to become a leading hub for medical and pharmaceutical research and training, to transfer cutting-edge technologies both nationally and worldwide, and to supply top-notch medical professionals to fulfill the needs of the public for protection and health care, particularly in the medical field.

At the moment, it employs more than 700 people, including 200 full-time hospital employees and 500 full-time university employees, seven of whom are professors. There are 28 associate professors. 180 master’s degree holders, 65 specialists or comparable doctors, 285 part-time teachers at large clinics, and 77 doctorate students. It has trained over 10,000 doctors, nurses, and postgraduates over the course of over 40 years of construction and development.
