About SMS Medical College, Jaipur
One hospital and one dispensary started in 1845. Subsequently, such facilities recommended for other parts of the state as well. However, due to lack of trained doctors the initiative with limited success, in 1855, a maternity hospital and one dispensary and a medical school opened in Jaipur, inaugurated on 7th September, 1861 and in the first batch 24 students are admitted.
Dr. Kingford Burr appointed as director of this college and he used to teach material medical, practical therapeutics, surgery and practice of medicine. Later, Dr. Najeeb Khan and Dr. Hussain Baksh were appointed as demonstrator in anatomy and assistant surgeon Parvati Charan Gosh was appointed as lecturer to teach principles and practice of medicine, Physiology and materia medica.

Central Library
The S.M.S. Medical College Library established in the year 1947. The S.M.S. Medical College Library dedicated in the name of Dr. Robert Heilig Library on 14th September 1976 and came to be known as Dr. Robert Heilig Library. Earlier the Library housed in the main college building occupying a wing. The new Library building was shifted & inaugurated on 4th July 2001, and it was completely shifted in the building on 15th August 2001
Lecture Theatre
A lecture theatre is a large room used for instruction, typically at a college or university. Canteen
Canteen is the place where one can sit and get a little relaxation from work. SMS Medical College has a big canteen in the college campus. This canteen is always open in the office working hours. Delicious meals are available for both staff and the students. Anyone can enjoy variety of dishes to make their appetite feel good.
Gymnasium
