The IQ City Medical College, a private, non-profit, medical Institute with world-class infrastructure that specializes in holistic medical education began its journey in 2013 with an intake capacity of 150 students per year. The college presently conducts MBBS as well as MD/MS programs.

The College houses more than 600 students. The first batch of MBBS graduated in 2018. The goal is to nurture well-trained, idealistic and humane doctors, who will serve the nation dedicatedly. Lecture, Demo, Exam & CME Halls

Five well furnished, air-conditioned and spacious Lecture Halls each with a seating capacity of 200.
Seminar Halls for each department.
Specially built Exam Hall for 300 students.
Air-Conditioned CME Hall.
Demonstration rooms with seating capacity of 75 students at each department.
Halls are equipped with latest Audio- visual equipment like OHPs, LCD projectors, Computers, Cordless Microphones etc.

The Lecture Halls are provided with excellent seating arrangements and latest audio-visual equipment’s. Audio visual aids provided in the lecture halls include sound amplifier system, overhead projection, 35 mm slide projection and LCD projections apart from the traditional black board and chalk.

The lecture halls have also been equipped with facilities for E-learning. The Examination Hall has adequate seating and is designed in such a way that all students are in clear view of the supervisor. The hall is under CCTV surveillance. The college provides a full-time teacher mentor programme.

As a dynamic and integral part of the academic and scholarly enterprise, the medical Library of IQ City Medical College & Hospital, Durgapur is an essential component of the institute’s outstanding research and intellectual mission, to educate and nurture students, to create knowledge, and to provide service to the community and beyond.

The library occupies a place of pride in the college and seeks to provide high quality information services, instruction, and resources to our college clientele: the students, faculty, researchers, and staff of the college. It is a most lively place on the campus providing a safe and comfortable and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge, and promoting discovery and scholarship. The library contains books more than 11,500, more than 100 journals (considering both national and international), over 300 back volumes (considering both national and international) and over 600 learning CDs.

Mess & Cafeteria

Canteens and cafeterias are one of the most important and integral part of student life. Here one can find most of students chatting and gossiping on different topics. It plays a vital role in removing tensions and refreshing students. The college canteen provides enough and delicious food at affordable rates. IQ City Medical College & Hospital, Durgapur has the facility of spacious, clean and hygienic canteens and cafeterias that caters to the taste of all students. Canteens can conveniently accommodate 100 students at a time. The College has one canteen with four separate sections for students, doctors, staff, and patient relatives.

The canteens and cafeterias remain open on all working days. It provides all types of nutritious and hygienic eatables and beverages to cater to the students, staff and visitors. The college has a cake – store and some coffee points to our facility within the campus that is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. All bakery items such as cakes, breads, puffs, cream buns, patties are available whole day. The mess serves meals and evening snacks. The Mess Committee decides the menu for the week and is able to accommodate requests from students. The mess serves all types of food including South Indian, Chinese and Non-Veg.

Hostel

The institute provides magnificent residential facilities offering a comprehensive range of facilities within the institute, separately for boys and girls. We understand that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by providing comfortable, safe and homely set-up within the campus.
